Who are we?
Catrine started Neurokind because she desired a neuro-affirming Danish practice with autistic leadership and a focus on the neurodiversity paradigm and human complexity.
We operate from a fundamental understanding that neurodivergent individuals have different prerequisites and needs than most, and there needs to be tolerance, respect, and understanding in society for us to thrive living our lives differently. We do this, among other things, by challenging and questioning the norms that define the neurotypical society and insisting that being different does not mean being wrong.

We collaborate with skilled, empathetic individuals who share our values and seek out partners who are themselves neurodivergent and/or part of other marginalized identities in society.
Founder, autist, counsellor & facilitator
Catrine Zorn
Catrine is a late-diagnosed autistic who is currently studying psychology at the University of Copenhagen (and writes many emails to the university about the lack of accessibility for autistic students). She is married to Robert and the mother of two big boys—the entire family is autistic.
Catrine has a bachelor in visual communication from DMJX and has worked for many years as a theatre photographer. After her youngest son's diagnosis in 2017, Catrine has changed direction in life and is now focused on educating herself to become a licensed psychologist and disseminating knowledge about autism and other neurodivergence, as she feels there is a great lack of professionals with lived experience of autism and a critical eye on the neuro-normative society.
In Neurokind, Catrine is the founder, counsellor & consultant, as well as the author over at @neurokind_dk on Instagram.

Co-owner, AuDHD, & operations manager
Michelle de Marée
Michelle is a self-diagnosed autist (and strongly suspects there’s more than a dash of ADHD in the mix, as well). She has a younger sister who is also an autist, and neurodivergence is the red thread that runs throughout her family and friends. She is also the co-founder and co-owner of Copy That, a UX writing and content strategy agency in Copenhagen.
Running a business on her own terms has been one of many ways Michelle has structured her life to be more neurodivergent-friendly, but she knows not everyone has that privilege. Her background in UX has made her very aware that people have different needs and ways to communicate, which is also her experience when it comes to neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals. One communication style isn’t inferior to the other; they’re just different. With Neurokind, she hopes to help people question and challenge the current inherently neurotypical structure of society at large, and explore what can and should be done to make it… well. Neurokinder.
Behind the scenes, Michelle is Neurokind’s co-owner, operations manager, and general Jack-Of-All-Trades.
